THE FINE PRINT

We keep only what the app needs to work:

• →Your email — to sign you in and secure your account.
• →Your profile — the display name, handle and location you choose.
• →Your collection — the cars, prices, dates, notes and photos you add.

We use it to run your account and show your shelf — nothing else. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

To make the site work we rely on a few processors, who only ever see what’s needed: hosting and privacy-first analytics (Vercel), the database (Neon), historic exchange rates (the European Central Bank, via Frankfurter), and — only when you tap “AI scan” — the image you send to Anthropic to identify a model. Your data lives as long as your account does, and goes when you ask it to.

Essential cookies only: a single sign-in session cookie so you stay logged in. No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and our analytics is cookieless. Because we set nothing but the essentials, there’s no consent to grant or withhold: a brief notice on your first visit points you here, and using the site is your agreement to the sign-in cookie.

It’s your record, and you stay in control of it (GDPR and similar laws):

• →Access & export — download your whole collection any time from Import / Export.
• →Correct — edit your profile and any entry directly.
• →Delete — clear everything with Start Fresh, or ask us to delete your account and all its data for good.

For a full account deletion or any data question, reach us via Contact and we’ll take care of it.

This is a collecting site — nothing else. Don’t use shoVROOM to offer, seek or coordinate anything illegal: drugs, weapons, stolen or counterfeit goods, fraud, or any sexual content involving minors. Don’t upload photos that aren’t about models and cars — no nudity, gore, other people’s private information, or harassment. No coded listings: a “listing” that isn’t genuinely a collectible is treated as prohibited whatever words it hides behind.

We moderate — automatically and by hand. Public text and every uploaded photo pass automated screening; anything the screen or a report flags is reviewed by a human. We may remove content, hide listings, suspend or delete accounts at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Content that appears to be unlawful — in particular any sexual content involving minors — is removed, preserved as evidence, and reported to the appropriate authorities (in the US, the NCMEC CyberTipline).

See something? Report it. Every listing, public shelf and catalogue page has a report button — no account needed. Or write to us via contact.

shoVROOM is a listing board, not a shop. The marketplace lets collectors show what they’d sell or trade. Every sale or trade is arranged and completed directly between the two people, off shoVROOM. We are not a party to it.

We handle nothing. shoVROOM takes no payment, holds no funds, ships nothing, and does not verify sellers, buyers, items, conditions, prices, ownership or authenticity. A listing is one collector’s claim, shown as-is.

No liability for deals. To the fullest extent permitted by law, shoVROOM and its makers are not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, non-delivery, misdescription, fraud or dispute arising from a marketplace listing or any contact, sale or trade between users. You deal entirely at your own risk.

Deal safely. Verify the item and the person, use a payment method with buyer protection, and never wire money or send payment you can’t recover to someone you don’t know. Sellers choose to publish their own contact details; contacting a seller is your decision. Report a problem listing via contact and we’ll review it, but we’re under no obligation to mediate.

The record is yours. Everything on your shelf is your own claim. shoVROOM doesn’t own, appraise, authenticate, endorse or independently verify any entry — we simply store and display what you enter.

No guarantees. Values, returns, FX conversions and estimates are for your reference only. They may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are not financial, investment, tax or valuation advice, and not a guarantee of authenticity, condition, rarity or market price.

As-is, at your own risk. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, shoVROOM and its makers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it — including any reliance on a figure shown, or any loss of data. Keep your own backups of anything important (that’s what export is for).

Fair use. Don’t misuse the service, upload other people’s private information, or use it to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

Trademarks. Car makes, models and brand names belong to their respective owners and appear here only to identify the things you collect.
